Presentation of Ing. Mehran Mirzaei for state exam
Typically after two years of Ph.D. study one has to pass a state examination, part of it is also a presentation of the actual research results.

Read More →UAV-MAG is a triaxial vector fluxgate magnetometer developed on demand to be used as an on-board magnetometer for magnetic field mapping using a small sized UAV (e.g. DJI Mavic). Two units form a set which can be used to effectively map magnetic anomalies. First unit is used on-board the UAV, the second serves as a […]

Read More →Proton precession magnetometer is an interesting device that uses effects of quantum mechanics. Together with a relatively simple electronics one can get a precise scalar magnetometer… sounds simple but the practical realization can be a bit tricky. We played with this topic a bit, so below you can find some technical details which might be […]
Read More →Maglab has recently opened its new geomagnetic observatory of Kelčany in South Moravia. The observatory is located 6 m underground where the temperature is highly constant (form 9°C in winter to max 13 °C in summer with negligible daily variations). The magnetometer used in this observatory is a triaxial fluxgate manufactured by Maglab.
Read More →Here we are. We finally published a very important paper for fluxgate sensors. In this paper we present a new method to anneal magnetic wires which later are used as core for orthogonal fluxgate in fundamental mode. This method allows us to strongly reduce the offset in the fluxgate.

Read More →Here in Maglab we are currently updating our facility for magnetic sensors testing in wide temperature range.Today it was a big day, because we finally installed the cooling/warming system to the shielding.
